Working Mies

Bea Sarrias and Morrosko Vila-San-Juan with Consentino City at Barcelona Gallery Weekend

Every exhibition involves a previous work process. Documentation, research, sketches, tests, trials, errors. A process whose result can be as or more interesting than the exhibition itself.

In this project we propose to show, both graphically and pictorially as well as audiovisual, the process of preparation and research of an exhibition on the Pavilion of Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich.

We propose to deconstruct the iconic Pavilion, piece by piece, to reconstruct it again in a pictorial and audiovisual way, basically through its materials and light. A tribute to its incredible creative and constructive journey.

Drawings, sketches, paintings, notes, collages and projections will transmit the organic and tactile sensation that the pavilion gives off and the sensuality of its materials.
