Hortal recognizes that the operatic genre brings him great energy. For the first time in his career he has started from the basis of the plots and the music. Thus, he has seen each opera in a different color and has also tried to treat each title with a different brushstroke, focusing more on the musical rhythm.

The experimentation -one of the axes of Yago Hortal's trajectory-, made him choose the aluminum support with the idea of obtaining, for the first time through this material, a different result to do something new connected with this project. In contrast to his large format production, the proportion of the book "Temporada de ópera" has allowed the artist to focus because the small format is more narrative, it is like a story.
