Eat code and die

Last Thursday, November 13, Mónica Riki presented the performance 'Eat code and die', within the framework of the ARTefACTe program.

The artist continues to explore the relationship between the human body and the machine in new eata proprietorship in which she is fed and cared for by wearable robotic devices designed and adapted to her body.

Mónica Rikic

Electronic artist and winner of the 2021 National Culture Award of Catalonia.

She develops her practice through coding and creative electronics, combining them with non-digital objects to create interactive projects and robotic installations. Her interest lies in artistic research and critical thinking surrounding alternative technologies and open hardware.

Her projects have been exhibited at various renowned national and international institutions and festivals for more than ten years. Her works are part of collections such as the .NewArt {foundation;}, the DKV Collection, and the National Collection of Contemporary Art of Catalonia.
