From life vests and fire extinguishers to symbolic elements like pillows and bibles, each piece reveals how the tangible intertwines with the spiritual to strengthen people’s sense of protection and well-being. This series is a tribute to humanity's ability to find light in darkness, securing our natural integrity through the creation and meaning assigned to the objects around us.
Cesar Biojó (Colombia, 1981) is a painter with an international career based in Barcelona since 2006. His work has been exhibited in Spain, Europe and the United States.
His artistic practice is based on a process of creation-destruction: he paints hyperrealistic portraits, which are immediately damaged and deteriorated.
