BIOGRAPHY

Trained as a publicist, Carmen Puig-La Calle finds her artistic practice during the pandemic as a way of expression necessary to deal with that emotional time. It is through collage on paper, using images from vintage magazines and books, including old account books, that she invites us to explore humor, nostalgia and composition, in its purest form.

Carmen has exhibited a first series of collages under the title "Allá voy" at Hat Gallery (Barcelona, May 2021) and then exhibited "Allá voy, Madrid" at Tierra y Tiempo (Madrid, April 2022). She presents "Nido" in the framework of Electrik by Jordi Bernadó (Barcelona, September 2022) which has been a great launching pad.
