STREET ART by AMELLTER ORIGEN Contest Rules and Regulations

One more summer, the portraits of artists performing at Cruïlla will once again be the protagonists of the festival’s live arts offer, which this year will be supported by Ametller Origen. The call for the selection of the artists who will participate is already open for all those creators linked to Street Art: we tell you the details!

16 artists will be selected to develop the portrait during two days of the festival on the dates indicated: 8 of them will do it on Wednesday 5 and Thursday 6 July, while the rest will do it on Friday 7 and Saturday 8. They can use different mixed Street Art techniques such as graffiti, acrylic paints, markers, brushes, stencil, rodetes or others.

The selection will be made by a qualified jury formed by Natalia Foguet from LAB36 gallery, Alex Lopez from Graffic Impact, Claudia Costa from Poblenou Urban District, artist Marina Capdevila, Marta Guilera from Ametller Origen and a member of the Cruïlla Festival. The final selection may incorporate gender proportionality criteria, if necessary.

The organization will provide a diptych divided into two parts measuring 200×150 cm in total and 100€ in material for the realization of the work. The remuneration to be received is 1000€ for each selected artist and two 4-day passes for the Cruïlla Festival.

Also, all portraits will be part of a contest, the prize of which will be 5000€ for the artist and the exhibition of the work in contemporary galleries in the city and in Ametller Origen. The winning portrait will be decided on Saturday, July 8. The final works will remain the property of the Cruïlla Festival (no commercial use or sale will be made). The organization reserves the right to record on video all the selected artists and share their work and portfolios.
