Jordi Gispert Pi
Multidisciplinar
Born in Barcelona (1957), Jordi studied at the Escuela de Bellas Artes Sant Jordi, Barcelona.
His work develops Visual Ecology, which artistically invokes the care of the landscape as an environment. He explores the paradigms of knowledge to achieve self-content and the utopian perspective of a possible world.
BIOGRAPHY
His artistic project “Econscience” identifies different cultural perspectives in search of planetary re-equilibrium.
In 1980 he began his exhibition career with his first exhibitions in galleries in Europe: Formentera, Barcelona, Paris, Giessen, Torino.
In 1990 the Government of the Generalitat de Catalunya awards him the Creativity Prize for his artistic-playful project "El Juego del Laberinto", based on the Mediterranean symbolism and destined to dynamize the city during the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games.
Since then, he continues his artistic production with exhibitions in private galleries as well as in institutional spaces and commissions for private collectors.
