¿Dónde se escondían sus dientes?
Pablo del Pozo
LAB 36 presents '¿Dónde se escondían sus dientes?', a personal exhibition by Pablo del Pozo. The show delves into a more unknown and intimate dimension of the artist's work by presenting a series of drawings in a contained format in which Del Pozo captures figures and objects of everyday life in an agile and free manner. Playing with significant detail and the strength of form, his line oscillates between an always virtuous and showy formalism and the arbitrary of an assumed banality.
If Baudelaire could say that, for the modern painter, the speed of gesture was essential to capture the ephemeral, 'which is the very place of this painting', Del Pozo wonders what it means to draw in a liquid age of omnipresent screens. These works reflect on the medium itself, jumping with ease from abstraction to still life, passing through landscape or personal portrait.
