Buscando el silencio [Buscant el silenci]

Ana Paul

LAB36 is pleased to present Buscando el Silencio, Ana Paúl’s first solo exhibition in Barcelona. Paúl’s work arises at the intersection between the artificial and the natural. Since childhood, paper has occupied a special place in its practice thanks to its expressive qualities, textures, volumes, folds and its infinite versatility.

The exhibition brings together two series, Silent Forests and Silence, which dialogue with each other and embody serenity within a continuous silence, connected through the purity of white and the depth of black.

A forest represented in green tones welcomes the visitor, functioning as a first breath that prepares the look for the silence to come.

Artist quote

«A través del paper, puc habitar el bosc en silenci, transcendint els límits urbans. En aquest món canviant que ens desafia constantment, els arbres ens ofereixen una sensació de protecció, arrelament i permanència», explica la mateixa artista.
